Do you wanna Twitter?

It sounds slightly dirty, doesn't it? Actually it is a way to post short blurbs from a mobile device to an online community. Twitter describes itself as

Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?
I'm giving it a try. What the heck -- it's free! You can follow and post messages online or via mobile device. I'm using my text friendly LG Rumor with QWERTY keyboard to post on the fly.

You only have 140 characters to play with so you have to be pithy. Frankly, I'm not sure if I like it or not, but I'm having fun playing with it. You can follow the "twitters" of as many people as you like. I've just grabbed a few randoms and I'm reading along as they post about their days. Some are funny, some stupid. It is a touch voyeuristic, but fun for the moment.

Does your wife know you are offering to "twitter" away your day with complete strangers? DO you need counseling?

I can't twitter. I can't get my life started as it is. Too many distractions already. Stop. My eyes!

No, his wife didn't know. Wow. He doesn't have time to mow the lawn, but he can twitter with total strangers. What a great use of one's time!

So busted.

And I would enjoy reading your take on the Marriage Equality ruling in California. That is, if you have time after mowing the lawn...

Goes to show, you can't twitter away a marriage that easily .... ;)

I finally checked it out today.

And let me tell you this! It's quite ridiculous how long it took me to find out how to search for people on there(aside from the whole "let us raid your email address book" plan that they have).

My blondie roots are much deeper than originally thought.

Oh yeah, and when you're done mowing the lawn, get over here and mow ours. My husband is too busy NOT packing the crap in the garage to do it himself.

:D
